Gregg McDougal, a trial lawyer with nearly 30 years of experience, has joined Shanahan Law Group, and the firm has changed its name to Shanahan McDougal, PLLC. In addition, attorneys H. Denton Worrell and Nathaniel Pencook have joined the firm as associates.

Denton Worrell earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2015, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Wake Forest Law Review. Worrell brings over a decade of experience in wealth management prior to law school and will focus his practice in areas of business litigation, corporate and financial representation, as well as appeals. Prior to joining Shanahan McDougal, PLLC, Worrell served two years as a clerk to the Honorable Justice Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Nathaniel Pencook graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2017, where he served as the North Carolina Issue Editor of the North Carolina Law Review. Pencook will focus his practice in areas of complex business litigation, general corporate representation, and employment law.
